Mita is not only a great singer, she posses "a golden heart".
She is trying her best to help people in need. She had been actively working
with film actor and producer late Mr. Sunil Dutt
, and film actor Rajendrakumarji
to raise funds for the Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation.
Mita was the first Indian artist to initiate a fund raising move for
Sulaghna Mukherjee, a young kid who was suffering from "Scaleroderma", a rare and deadly nerve disease.
In 2009 Mita got actively involved with Street Children International, New York City, U.S.A. and "Samadrita", Kolkata, India. Both are non-profit organizations helping orphans and distressed women. |
